Ken Himmel '70, President and CEO of Related Urban
Kenneth A. Himmel is President and Chief Executive Officer of Related Urban, the nation's leading developer of large-scale mixed-use properties. He is also the Managing Partner of Gulf Related, an Abu Dhabi based joint venture between Related Companies and Gulf Capital. Mr. Himmel earned a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from Cornell University - School of Hotel Administration (where he fosters ongoing mentorship); and a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of William and Mary.
Elliot Jaffee '82, Head of Commercial Banking at US Bank
Elliot Jafee is Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking at US Bank, the fifth largest commercial bank in the United States. He leads a team of professionals that serve both middle market businesses across the entire US Bank footprint and a portfolio of national specialized industry groups. Mr. Jaffee earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University and his M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he graduated with honors.
Chris Volk, President and CEO of Store Capital
Chris Volk is the President, CEO, and Director of STORE Capital, one of the largest and fastest-growing net-lease real estate investment trusts (REITS) in the United States. Under his leadership, Store Capital has become the preferred provider of net lease financing solutions for Middle Market companies. Mr. Volk received an M.B.A. from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington and Lee University.
Alan Riffkin '88, Managing Director of Real Estate Investment Banking at Lazard
Alan Riffkin is a Managing Director of Real Estate Investment Banking at Lazard. Based in New York City, Mr. Rifkin specializes in mergers and acquisitions, special committee assignments, and other strategic advisory and restructuring transactions for leading real estate companies and homebuilders. Prior to joining Lazard in 2003, Mr. Riffkin worked at Goldman Sachs and CitiGroup Mr. Riffkin has a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania.
Ryan McNamara '10, Regional Vice President of Real Estate and Development at Hyatt Hotels Coporation
Ryan McNamara is a Regional Vice President of Real Estate and Development at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Based in Chicago, Mr. McNamara is responsible for the expansion of Hyatt’s select-service brands, including Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, throughout the Central United States. In his current role, Mr. McNamara oversees Hyatt’s development process and manages key owner and operator relationships on behalf of the organization. Before transitioning to Development, Mr. McNamara led Hyatt’s select-service feasibility and market analysis team for North America. Prior to joining Hyatt Hotels Corporation eight years ago, Mr. McNamara’s experience spanned hotel operations, finance, and real estate development, having worked with companies including Four Seasons, Marriott, and a boutique private equity firm. Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Real Estate Development from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
Kristen McNamara '10, Vice President of Private Banking at J.P. Morgan
Kristen McNamara is the Vice President of Private Banking at JP Morgan, where she provides strategic wealth management for ultra-high net worth clients and their families. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Mrs. McNamara worked at Holiday Fenoglio Fowler and Goldman Sachs. Mrs. McNamara earned her bachelor’s degree in from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and her M.B.A. from The University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
Monika Dubaj '94, Vice President of Development at Hyatt Hotels Corporation
Monika Dubaj is the Vice President of Development at Hyatt Hotels Corporation with a focus on the Asia Pacific Region. She previously held acquisition and development roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific, and hospitality consulting positions with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. Ms. Dubaj earned her bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her M.P.S. from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
Amy Applebaum '86, Executive Director of Real Estate Banking Banking at J.P. Morgan Chase
Amy Applebaum is an Executive Director with J.P. Morgan Chase in the commercial real estate group. Ms. Applebaum provides a range of real estate financing products to real estate developers as well as lending to private equity real estate funds. She has previously served as President of the Association of Real Estate Women. Prior to J.P. Morgan Chase, Ms. Applebaum worked at the New York Economic Development Corporation, ScotiaBank, and Fuji Bank. She earned her bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her M.B.A from New York University's Stern School of Business.
